Last Friday I was invited to attend a Mother's Day tea at Claire's school. It was so sweet.....she was watching the door and as soon as I walked in, she jumped up to give me a hug and tell me Happy Mother's Day! They had all made placemats, cards, and a gift for the moms. We had cookies and lemonade and the kids all sang songs for us. So adorable!
I asked Claire if she wanted to show me around her classroom and this is what she wanted to show me, the "10 ways to help the earth" poster. I noticed #3 "Save my leftovers" - this explains why lately when she doesn't want to eat what I have prepared she just says "oh, we'll just save this because I'm helping the earth."
I had such a nice Mother's Day! Rob let me stay in bed while he got the kids ready for breakfast and they made cinnamon rolls. He also took them to the Childrens Museum while I did some shopping and went out to lunch with my mom! Fielder must have even known that it was my day because he took a 2 hour nap - rare for him! After much thought, Claire decided she wanted to bake cookies for my present, which I think they were able to accomplish while Fielder was
with the babysitter parked in front of Sesame Street.
It was a really special day for me and even though these 2 kiddos can drive me batty sometimes, I am so extremely grateful for them.
