1st Meet

When we found out cousin Katie was also doing swim team and their teams were swimming against each other, Claire just had to participate!  So we had our first SWIM MEET experience and man, it was organized chaos.  It was actually really fun and Claire had a blast.  She loves hanging out with her buddies and it was extra special to have Katie there.

Swim team is tough with Fielder for sure, but he's handling it better than I thought.  Rob brought him to the meet to watch sister race and then promptly took him home!

Uncle Jake, Popa, and Abu all came to cheer for Katie and Claire!  (luckily Claire has tons of confidence and it did not make her nervous at all that she had all these family members there and she'd never raced before!)

 Here she is at her block!  Katie and Claire both swam the 25 freestyle, but not in the same heat.

I'm so mad this picture is blurry.  It would have been adorable.  I took it from the opposite end of the pool - Daddy gave Claire a fist bump right before she got up on her block.

She did AWESOME!!!  She won her heat!!  And so did Katie!  It was really fun to watch the girls and they were very proud of themselves.  Claire came in 9th overall with a total of 21 girls I think.

 Katie also swam backstroke so we hung around to cheer her on - and had ice cream to celebrate.  Fun night!!

 Baby Jenna was a trooper and hung out in the carrier with Alison the whole night - Alison got her workout as a runner for the meet the entire time!
